AudioMoth Configuration App 1.11.0

A new version of the configuration app is now available! We've added the ability to tie a recording schedule to sunrise and sunset where the AudioMoth is deployed. The location can be set in the app or when deploying by using the AudioMoth App available on Android, iOS and online.

this is nice a facilitate. Could You update firmwere to save location based on chime in a CONFIG.TXT when I set schedule in fixed mode?

Hi there!

I`m using the Audiomoth in bat projects so I`m really excited to record the recordings from sunset to sunrise without setting the time schedule myself.

I have problem with the Apps. I have downloaded and installed the latest 1.11.0 both the Time app and Configuration App for windows, but the App shows that I have old version 1.8.1.

Then when I click “helpàcheck for updates”, the App says that I already have the latest version.

Meanwhile, when I am trying to configure the device using sunset/sunrise mode, it shows error (see below)

What could be the problem?

If I set recording date it starts recording at 00:00:00 like in the previous versions or it starts recording at time of sunset if I set it?

Yes, if you schedule sunset recordings, the first and last recording date will still be used to set a limit on the recordings - from 00:00:00 < first recording date> to 24:00:00 <last recording date> - in the same way that the previous fixed schedule worked.

Select 'Sunset to sunrise' as the recording mode. It will allow you to set additional minutes before sunset and additional minutes after sunrise - or you can set these to zero. The 'rounding' means that sunrise/sunset are calculated to the nearest five minutes. You can set this to 0 or 1 if you want sunrise and sunset calculated to the nearest minute.

You can set your location on the map with the position button and the schedule display will show the calculated recording period for the current day (or the first recording date if it has been set sometime into the future).

If I set Sunset to Sunrise recording, does sunset and sunrise time of subsequent days is saved in the file?

HI - I was just updating all of our devices ready for deployment tomorrow and saw this. While the web browser version shows the location, the app does not - Is there a reason for this?

Additionally, when I collect the devices, is the location recorded in the config file? Thanks.

The Android and iOS apps were released today - check for updates. The location is stored in GUANO metadata in the WAV files. Lots of applications can read this format data - it's just text at the end of the WAV file - including the 'Summarise AudioMoth Files' feature in the AudioMoth Config App.
