Recently bought 10 Audiomoth units and am having a possible hardware issue with 4 of them. We were able to configure the majority of them with no issue, there are those 4 that seem to lose either the clock or are resetting after a period of time once they're switched over to Custom mode and been deployed. Not entirely sure when it's happening cause I've been setting them aside to watch the indictor lights and everything seems to be in working order until we bring them in. We don't have them on intensive recording sessions or out for very long so it's not running through the batteries or SD cards either.
They were all initially configured in one go with the same settings and it's always the same 4. We've tried a few troubleshoots; chiming them in the field, reflashing them, but those 4 continue to revert back and flash green while the red stays continuous while the rest are not having that issue.
Have you tried swapping the SD cards from the functioning Audiomoth units into the problematic ones to see if the issue persists? This could help determine if the problem is with the SD card itself or something else. slice masters

Hi, Can you confirm what SD card and batteries you are using. We've seen this a couple of times with SD cards that have very high write currents. They cause the AudioMoth to reset and lose the time when it first attempts to write to the SD card on switching to CUSTOM. Alex
