I set the unit with this configuration and make sure to press Configure Audiomoth:
But if I quit the config app, even not removing the unit from the usb, and restart the app, the config app shows a different configuration, which confuses me and makes me doubt on whether the correct configuration has been saved to the unit:
Is this "normal"? If it is, no way to get the config app to actually read the correct configuration fro the unit?

The forum is so important.... some questions have already been answered for me now. Thanks!!
I understand your confusion, currently there isn't a way for the Configuration App to read the CONFIG.TXT file off of a device. The device only ever needs configuring once using the Configuration App and will always remember the these settings. Configurations are persistent, even if batteries are removed. The only thing that needs setting after power is lost or batteries run out, is the time. We recommend using the AudioMoth smartphone Chime App after the first Configuration using the AudioMoth Configuration App. The CONFIG.TXT file is only a log file and can be deleted without loosing the configurations set using the AudioMoth Configuration App. AudioMoth will create a new CONFIG.TXT file when the switch is changed from USB/OFF, this is intended for debugging and as a reminder of these original settings. I hope this explains it.
The saved config can be saved manually in the app ‘File’ menu and then loaded onto the app, however, it can’t read the configurations off of a device.
In that case, if I
1. Quit the app.
2. Disconnect from USB.
3. switch to CUSTOM, back to USB/OFF
4. Connect to usb
5. start the config app
would the saved conf be displayed by the app?
(cannot check myself now, I have all units deployed)
Hi Agus, Yes this is normal. If you want to confirm what was set last on AudioMoth a CONFIG.TXT file is created on the SD card, the file is created when the switch position moves off USB/OFF.
