Dear All,
as far as I've browsed the blog, I haven't found a topic that answers my question. Namely, I am interested in whether it is possible, and if so, in what way the following recordings can be set up. What I know that the device can do is to set recording cycles lasting 300 seconds sleeping, 60 seconds recording and so on for, say, 10 days. However, what I'm interested in is, can AudioMoth be set up to perform the mentioned recording cycles, for example, three times during the year?
Example: I want AudioMoth to record from April 1st to April 10th (at specified intervals: 300 sec sleep, 60 sec recording), then turn off and sleep until, for example, July 1st when it activates again and records (at specified intervals: 300 sec sleeping, 60 sec recording) until July 10. Then it turns off again and sleeps for example until October 1, when it turns on again and records (in the specified intervals: 300 sec sleep, 60 sec record) until October 10. Is it possible to configure AudioMoth in the above way and if so how? If not possible with the current app is there a chance to customize the AudioMoth Config App to prepare the CONFIG.TXT file in the way mentioned?
Thank you in advance!
Ivan P.
Hi Ivan, This isn't possible at the moment, but we are planning to release a solution that supports this sort of flexible schedule later in the year. This will take the form of a website to which you upload a CSV file describing the recording periods, and the website will then generate a custom firmware which will then record those recording periods.
