Hi, I'm trying to record full nights with some audiomoths, but the first files are not recorded. E.g., when I enter as recording time 19:50 - 07:30 (UTC+2), I get these files:
no file (recording from 19:50 till 22:13)
20240408_221310.WAV (recording from 22:13 till 0:36)
20240409_003620.WAV (recording from 0:36 till 2:59)
20240409_025930.WAV (recording from 2:59 till 5:22)
20240409_052240.WAV (recording from 5:22 till 7:30)
I tried this with several audiomoths and with time zone UTC and local time UTC+2, but they all gave the same problem. Last year, this all worked without problems. Only thing changed is that I flashed them to the newest version. What am I missing?
These are my settings:
Firmware : AudioMoth-Firmware-Basic (1.9.2)
Time zone : UTC+2
Sample rate (Hz) : 250000
Gain : Medium
Sleep duration (s) : -
Recording duration (s) : -
Active recording periods : 1
Recording period 1 : 19:50 - 07:30 (UTC+2)
First recording date : ----------
Last recording date : ----------
Filter : -
Trigger type : -
Threshold setting : -
Minimum trigger duration (s) : -
Enable LED : Yes
Enable low-voltage cut-off : Yes
Enable battery level indication : Yes
Always require acoustic chime : No
Use daily folder for WAV files : No
Disable 48Hz DC blocking filter : No
Enable energy saver mode : No
Enable low gain range : No
Enable magnetic switch : No
Enable GPS time setting : No
Thank's for pointing this out. I'll double check. If you get a chance can you try with the cyclic sleep/record option enabled. This is an unusual recording setting as the continuous recording means that the AudioMoth generates files that exceed the maximum 4.3GB WAV limit. It has automatically split the files which is correct, but it seems strange that the first one is missing. It must have tried to record it for the second file to be present and to start at the correct time. Is there a 0 length file, or no file at all?
