The uMoth is identical to the other AudioMoth models but regular slide switch is replaced with a rotary switch that you operate with a small screwdriver. It has the same three positions - DEFAULT, USB/OFF and CUSTOM.
Most connection problems are due to the USB cable being only a charging cable rather than a data cable. Double check that first. Put the switch in USB/OFF and check that the Time App connects correctly when the USB cable is attached.
A follow up the Initial Setup Guide (https://www.openacousticdevices.info/setup-guide) but the AudioMoth Time App don't find the µMoth.
I test also the AudioMoth Flash App to flash with the last firmware (1.7.1) but the same thing : No AudioMothfound. Make sure USB cable is connecter and the switch is in USB/OFF
NB : manually switch to flash mode tested also but after I remove the metal paperclip, only the green LED is ON.
There is an 'Initial Setup Guide' here - https://www.openacousticdevices.info/getting-started - and one from Tessa Rhinehart here - https://github.com/rhine3/audiomoth-guide/blob/master/guide.mduMoth is identical to AudioMoth in its use, apart from it using a rotary switch rather than a slide switch.
Thanks, Alex. I have uMoths but I am unsure how to use the rotary switch. any advice, please?
Thx for quick response ...DONE with another cable and it works.
