HydroMoth: weak mag fob

Testing new HMoth with settings to begin with mag fob. Is there any indication / change in led flash pattern that indicates a successful mag fob activation?

I noted in the HM application notes (page 1) that after passing the fob across the switch, the led will blink rapidly 10 times and then return to some preprogrammed pattern.

Did not see the 10 flashes when I used the fob.

I could be fobbing it wrong (?!)

UPDATE: was able to trigger the HM with magnets and led indicates as described in application notes.

I was able to trigger magnetic start and stop while HM was inside and outside the case.

I was NOT able to trigger the HM with the magnetic fob purchased with the HM through GroupGets. The magnets that I was successful with were hardware store rare earths that are objectively pretty powerful.

Gonna chalk this one up to a weak fob and not the HM.
