Hello everyone,
I have recently shifted from a Macbook to a ThinkPad with Ubuntu 22.04. I am trying to install the AppImage of the Audiomoth Configuration app according to the information provided on the installation page. However, I am encountering an error as follows:
"./AudioMothConfigurationAppSetup1.9.2.AppImage
(electron) The default value of app.allowRendererProcessReuse is deprecated, it is currently "false". It will change to be "true" in Electron 9. For more information please check https://github.com/electron/electron/issues/18397
[6082:1025/100812.298382:FATAL:gpu_data_manager_impl_private.cc(1034)] The display compositor is frequently crashing. Goodbye.
Trace/breakpoint trap (core dumped)"
I'm unsure how to fix this, as I am relatively new to Linux and am not all that familiar with the terminal. I would be extremely grateful to this forum if someone could suggest how I can proceed with installing the Audiomoth Configuration app. Thanks a ton in advance! 😀
Hello, I just tried to install AudioMothConfigurationAppSetup1.9.2.AppImage to Manjaro XFCE and I get the same error: [xy@thinkpad ~]$ ./AudioMothConfigurationAppSetup1.9.2.AppImage
(electron) The default value of app.allowRendererProcessReuse is deprecated, it is currently "false". It will change to be "true" in Electron 9. For more information please check https://github.com/electron/electron/issues/18397

Could you provide an updated appimage to the website's download section? Kind regards; Matthias
Hi Akshay,
Have you used any previous versions of the AudioMoth Configuration App on your Linux machine before now?
