Hi,
I have a problem creating a new file (with the suggested name 99-audiomoth.rules) in /lib/udev/rules.d/. And I think that's the problem why my computer doesn't find AudioMoth via USB (tried different cabels which works for my phone). I get the error "Could not save the file /lib/udev/rules.d/99-audiomoth.rules" and "You do not have the permissions necessary to save the file. Please check that you typed the location correctly and try again."
I'm using Linux Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS (64-bit). Can someone help with this? Step by step notes would be great if problem needs some commands in Linux terminal...
Thank you Alex! Worked like a charm for me.
Try the following:
> cd /lib/udev/rules.d/
> sudo gedit 99-audiomoth.rules
Type in the following on a single line:
SUBSYSTEM=="usb", ATTRS{idVendor}=="10c4", ATTRS{idProduct}=="0002", MODE="0666"
Click 'Save'. You might get some error messages about metadata but you can ignore those.
