I am setting up my Audiomoth for UK bat detections, and I see many posts talking about setting their amplitude threshold to 512. I cannot find where this setting is on my configuration settings. Please could someone tell me exactly where I will find this? I.e under which heading (Filtering, Advanced etc), and whether or not other specific settings need to be in place for me to find it. So far all I can see about Amplitude threshold is about minumum trigger duration in a percentage. I can't find an option to input 512 anywhere!
I have just watched a youtube video and in the video the person's configuration app had the amplitude threshold section under "Advanced" that I don't have. Any idea why this wouldn't be on my app? I am using a Mac and it is all up to date. I have attached a picture of my Advanced settings options.
Thansk in advance :)
Hi, It's under 'Filtering', then select the 'Amplitude' trigger type. There is a slightly newer version of the Config App available adds an additional 'Add-ons' tab.
The scale used for the amplitude threshold can be changed in the menu options.
If you already have some non-triggered recordings, you can try out the settings in the AudioMoth Play app - AudioMoth Play (openacousticdevices.info). You can also experiment with the example bat recording there to get a feel for what the controls do.
