hello,
actual i am recording 24h with 55min,55s record and 5s sleep cycle
i am now interested in only night recording with 1 big file, which is easier for me to post process
will this probably cause malfunctions with data saving or something ?
or are 8h files without record/sleep no problem ?
greetings :)
Recording an 8-hour file without the record/sleep cycle should generally not cause malfunctions, provided your device/storage can handle the continuous data flow monkey mart and has enough space.
Hi, The maximum length of any file 24 hours or 4.3GB so it will depend on the sample rate whether or not 8 hours will exceed 4.3GB. A sample rate of 48kHz or less will work fine. You can schedule longer periods that exceed 4.3GB and the AudioMoth will stop each recording before this limit is exceeded and start a new recording. This works fine but means that your recordings within the 8 hours will have strange start times (other than the first one).
