I just inquired about getting a cheaper shipment of a case from Berlin to Barcelona and this is what I got:
"The US$29 cost charged includes shipping, packaging and insurance of the shipment that is sent to you.
The US$29 charges are constant until the order value of US$1000.
Unfortunately, we do not offer any other options for shipment."
$29 for shipping from Germany to Spain an item that costs $39.99 and is small, light and robust is simply absurd. I understand LabMaker "are primarily an engineering company we may not be the best at cheap shipping", but I do not see why they should be the worst.
We are sorry to hear that you felt treated unfairly. You should know that we now also maintain stock in a US warehouse. So when available, we service US costumers via domestic US mail for fast and hassle free (no customs) delivery. (The former statement on the audiomoth webpage is obsolete.) Due to variable cost incurred for shipping through different logistic partners, the cost of shipment charged differs for some countries. Since we are primarily an engineering company we may not be the best at cheap shipping. However, averaged over all of LabMaker's worldwide shipping of different products of different weights and sizes to many locations we actually repeatedly find that we end up even and do not make any surplus on the shipping costs we charge to our customers. Maybe with your specific rate you helped subsidize a shipment to some more remote location in this world. We hope we could resolve your concern and that, as a bottom line, you still considered your purchase of the audiomoth a real gain.

Yep, I also encountered that there's is quite a strange quoting of shipping rates.
It is 19 $ to Germany, the same as to the US. Normal shipping rates inside Germany are around 5-6 € and not 19 $.
