Oh it seems I overlooked this post about the external microphone connector. This one is obsolete and no longer produced. I might have found a connector that comes quite close bit needs a bit of extra work. My post is still pending but hopefully this works. It would have been nice if that last runs of the V1.2 PCB were already updated to another connector but I guess more people are now having the problems finding the connector. Maybe someone knows a good reliable source where to get the SJ2-35464A-SMT-TR.
yeah you are right. It is kinda painfull to look for a sokets that fits. I had no luck as well. At the end, I just wired the mic to the pcb with a switch, that "sends" ground signal to the "Jack detect"/ second sleeve. This way I can just switch the external mic on and of (see this thread: https://www.openacousticdevices.info/support/device-purchase/hi-do-the-jack-sockets-for-audiomoth-1-2-0-need-to-be-model-sj2-35464a-smt-tr-or-can-4-pole-alternatives-like-in-this-pdf-be-used-thanks) . Currently i am planning on using just any "waterproof" jack sochet and mounting the socket in the case directly. A bit like its done e.g. at the Frontier labs BAR. This way, Ill have to connect the soket with the pcb by cables anyway. But I Agree with you, that its the obsolete soket design is incorporated in the pcb design.
