Audiomoth as USB-Mic on Android-phone

Hi there,

after some great ultrasonic recordings on SD-card, I wanted to try out live-visualization of ultrasonic sounds with the Audiomoth on my Android-phone using a spectrum analyser like "Spectroid". Actually I'm using e-foundation as an OS, which shouldn't make a difference.

The USB-mic mode works perfectly on my PC and Audacity.

On my phone I can select other devices as input, but none of it is the Audiomoth. It wouldn't have to be the Spectrum-app, but any other spectrum analyser showing the sounds as a waterfall. Does anyone know something about USB-mics or the Audiomoth as USB-mic on Android?

Hi Simon, The Bat Recorder app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.digitalbiology.audio ) works well with the AudioMoth USB Microphone on Android. Alex

I don't think it lets you downsample the input, so you might want to reconfigure the microphone to 192kHz sampling rate (using the AudioMoth USB Microphone App) as that will give you better signal to noise ratio, and reduce the frequency scale of the plot.
