AudioMoth Live App...error rendering embedded code

I was looking for more detailed instructions on using the Live app. When I look for any app guide I get the following ...Error rendering embedded code

Invalid PDF

Is there a more detailed instruction on the use of this app? Like turning on/off the wav recording.

Thanks Alex. I did download the PDF successfully. Now I get it better. Have you tested any hydrophones to see any differences in detecting higher frequencies? For example any difference between the Aquarian H2D and the AS-1? Have you or team used the H2D and have some examples to share?

Lastly, when using the Aquarian, do I need any preamp with the AudioMoth USB Mic or is there power supplied (phantom) from the USB Mic?

Thanks. So I bought the PA4 and it has a 9V attachment to provide power. I was testing the system yesterday in a lake but did't get very good results. I made sounds of rocks hitting rocks within 1 meter of the hydrophone. Some output but not much. So now I want to make sounds of known frequencies to see what the spectrogram shows...any suggestions?

I’ve previously tested hydrophones side by side in a marina where you get lots of different depth sound signals.

Otherwise a piezo transducer connected to a signal generator is okay, but tends to generate lots of harmonics and doesn’t have a very uniform output at different frequencies.

Thanks Alex. I'm now following you and OpenAcoustics on X. Awesome to see others contributing to the knowledge base. I don't see anyone else interested in porpoises, but me. That's too bad because the one I am tracking, Vaquita, is going extinct with about 6-8 left on the planet. So whatever help I can get to refine my platform to listen to these unique mammals, is a blessing.

There are two options for capturing WAV files. 1. Pressing 'Capture WAV' will save the current view to a WAV file. Up to the last 60 seconds is always available if you are viewing the last 10 seconds and miss something, you can switch to the 60-second view, and capture that. 2. You can also separately enable 'AutoSave'. This then continuously writes WAV files in the background. They have the specified maximum length - 1, 5, 10 or 60 minutes - and will open and close appropriately if you change the sample rate or change the microphone. Alex

Same error when I click on your link.

Current view? So the recorded WAV sound from the left hand screen to the right hand screen? If I let it play until a full screen is captured, then hit Capture WAV, only what I see on the screen is captured? And if I want the corresponding spectrogram, hit the camera button also?

You should be able to download it below:

Yes. The 'Capture WAV' button will capture up to the last 1, 5, 10, 20 or 60 seconds. You capture what you see on the screen at that time. If you see an interesting bird call or bat pass on the screen, press capture and you have a recording of it. This records the WAV file. You can then use other tools such as AudioMoth Play - https://play.openacousticdevices.info - to zoom in, downsample, filter and generate spectrograms and videos.

The camera icon will capture an image of the waveform and spectrogram to PNG, JPEG, PDF or all three. It captures the same periods as the 'Capture WAV' button but just produces an image.

To automatically record everything in the background, enable the 'AutoSave' option. This will then automatically save everything you see to WAV files, splitting the recordings at the requested maximum length, and whenever the microphone or sample rate changes.
