When does this problem occur - when you run AudioMoth USB Microphone App? I assume that the Flash App runs okay and you can see the updated firmware version on the microphone? Can you confirm which version of Windows you are using and whether you know if it is 32-bit or 64-bit? Is this the most up-to-date version of the Audiomoth USB Microphone App? Does the application run and talk to the microphone?
I just installed AudioLive and did not get the error. Note that I was able to install the other programs, but when I tried to run them is when I get the error. So far, the LiveApp is running OK. So why the errors in the other two exe apps?
Ah, this is an issue with Windows 7. The Electron framework that implements the cross-platform desktop apps stopped supporting Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 in January 2023 and the newer version was necessary to resolve performance and security issues. All the older versions are still available:Version 1.2.1 of the AudioMoth USB Microphone App should still run okay.https://github.com/OpenAcousticDevices/AudioMoth-USB-Microphone-App/releases/tag/1.2.1Version 1.4.1 of the AudioMoth Flash App should still run okay.https://github.com/OpenAcousticDevices/AudioMoth-Flash-App/releases/tag/1.4.1These have fewer features than the more up-to-date versions. All versions of the actual AudioMoth USB Microphone firmware should work okay as a USB microphone on Windows 7.
