Hello,
I tried to upgrade firmware to the latest 1.6, my audiomoth was recognized (Manjaro Linux), I downloaded the 1.6 firmware, tried to upgrade, but it failed. When I tried to upgrade again (I unplugged the audiomoth, then plugged it in), my audiomoth was not detected.
If I try to record with the switch on default or custom, nothing, no lights. Batteries are new, sd card was working fine just before.
Thank you for any suggestions.
It worked, I could upgrade the firmware, thank you.
Hi Damien, You'll be able to recover the AudioMoth by starting it in bootloader mode from power-up. Remove the batteries, start the Flash App, and then hold a paperclip on the terminals on the top surface by the PROG label. Whilst holding the paperclip plug in the USB cable so that the AudioMoth powers up and immediately sees the paperclip. This will launch the device into the bootloader and the Flash App will see it. If you select the 'Show Manual Switch Instructions' from the menu it will also lead you through this process. It's a bit fiddly but will work so try a few times. Alex
