I mistakenly flashed the audiomoth USB microphone with firmware basic 1.9.0. Now none of the apps detect the device, what should I do?
working on windows I noticed that first the light came on when I connected the device to the pc, after flashing this no longer happens. Also, I tried the live app and it does detect the sound.
Hi, Put the switch in USB/OFF and the Flash App should see it. Then re-flash with the correct firmware. All of the firmware versions can be deployed on any AudioMoth hardware (including the USB Microphone) and they will all connect normally to the Flash App when in USB/OFF). If it is having problems, make sure you have powered on and off the device and your computer before investigating further.
If the Flash App can't connect to the device, it may be that something went wrong during flashing. Did the flash finish correctly the first time - the Flash App should have identify the firmware that is installed on the device. If so, it is possible to switch the AudioMoth USB Microphone back into flash mode manually by shorting together the programing header and applying power, as described in the instructions under the 'Manually Switch to Flash Mode'. This is a bit fiddly, but will always work in the end. Let us know how you get on. Alex
