Apologies if this is a technically impossible question. I am planning to take an audiomoth to Africa in June to get some recordings for interest whilst there but would prefer not to take a laptop with me. I could configure before I leave but as I am flying will have to take the batteries out. Is there anyway to reset a configuration from an iphone or ipad? The alternative which I think is the likely solution is to borrow a computer for a few minutes from someone there and download Audiomoth. From my initial calculations once set up the batteries will last the length of time I will be there.

Hi, Yes, as soon as you remove the batteries you will lose the time and the ocnfiguration. You can make recordings without configuring by simply putting the device in 'DEFAULT' mode. This will make 1 minute recordings continuously until you put the device back into 'USB / OFF'. The time stamp of the recordings however will be incorrect. If you configure the device and leave it in 'USB / OFF' mode, it will enter a low-power state and will run for years keeping track of the time, ready for when you need to use it. Alex
