Elephant infrasonic measurements

Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone here has successfully used the audiomoth to record elephant infrasonic vocalisations, and if so, if you have any suggestions for device configuration/recording periods?

I have read other posts mentioning I will need to disable the DC blocking filter but was just wondering if anyone has further suggestions.

Hi Emma, We haven't heard back from anyone deploying AudioMoth to record low frequency elephant sounds yet. Alex

Can you post the CONFIG.TXT and one of the short files. Short files are most commonly caused by low battery voltage, and the reason will also be in the WAV file header.

Please see the attached - when I look at the information of my WAV file it says the duration of the clip is 55s, but when I open it in Kaleidoscope I only get 5 seconds of audio.

I have a feeling this might be a problem with Kaleidoscope rather than anything related to the audiomoth. However it seems like it did not pick up on any elephant audio at the settings I was working with
