I have several AudioMoths and have been using them regularly over the last 18 months or longer. Having just refreshed batteries and SD cards ready for the next deployment, the Configuration software (which has been updated to the latest version) fails to recognise that a AudioMoth is connected (i.e. no Device ID etc). I have tried using different cables with the same results. I have uninstalled the software and downloaded a fresh copy for the Open Acoustics website. But no matter what, I am still unable to configure any of my AudioMoth devices despite being fairly experienced in doing so. I run the configuration with Administrator permission but nothing that I have tried seems to make a jot of difference. Any help and suggestions beyond that that I have already tried would be most welcome so that I can continue with my project. Many thanks.

Hi Alex. Thanks for your response. I'm using Windows 10 (64 bit). My system is very stable and nothing has changed. I have tried at least 1/2 dozen cables, all of which I have used with the AudioMoth in the past. I've been using AudioMoths for at least 4 years now and, although I know from experience that they can be a little unpredictable at times, to have all three fail to register with the configuration software, suddenly out of the blue, seems very odd as nothing on my PC setup has changed.
Hi, What operating system are you using? Ninety-five percent of connection problems are USB cables without data lines. The remaining 5% are Windows driver problems or strange Linux permission issues. Do you have a virus / security application installed that might be limiting access? Have you updated the operating system on you computer since using the Config App last? Alex
