I have found some information about the highend frequency but have not found anything clear about the range. Can audiomoth record from 20hz to 20Khz?
Can I conect an external electret microphone? Has audiomoth plugin power capabilities?
And, when it will be again avaible?

Understanding frequency response is crucial in evaluating the performance of audio equipment. It refers to how accurately a device reproduces different frequencies across the audible spectrum. A flat frequency response ensures faithful reproduction of sound, without emphasizing or attenuating certain frequencies. However, variations in frequency response can occur due to factors like room acoustics or speaker placement. Here Our site offers detailed insights into frequency response and its significance in audio engineering. You can click here for info on how to interpret frequency response graphs and optimize your audio setup accordingly. By grasping this concept, enthusiasts and professionals alike can make informed decisions when selecting equipment for their audio needs.
Hi Xoan,
Did you get to making recordings in your research between 20Hz to 20kHz?? I also need to record between this rate. What settings did you use?
Thanks Andy,
About plugin power, it is similar to phantom but lower voltage. It provides around 5 volt and it is used by electret capsuled.
Anyway, I am looking forward to get some units to try.
Hi Xoan,
AudioMoth can record between 20Hz to 20kHz and also all the way to 192kHz. Unfortunately, you cannot connect an external microphone to AudioMoth. What do you mean by plugin power capabilities?
We hope for the next group purchase to be available in approximately three months. We will send out an email to all subscribers when the next round opens.
Thanks,
Andy
