Hello, I am looking to about information of the external microphone compatibility. I don't understand very well the technical information about the microphones, and the microphone which I see don't tell anything about the technical data...
I think about the elekon microphone black:
https://www.batlogger.com/en/accessories/mic_fg_black/
Or the batscan mic:
https://www.nhbs.com/search?q=Elekon&qtview=191985
Somebody has used these microphones?
The Elecon batlogger microphones have an internal amplifier and temperature sensor. +3.3V is on the tip, mic output (+ temp, possibly DC) is in the ring contact. It won't work on an audiomoth unless you make an adapter that also supplies 3.3 volts. The batscanner microphone looked like it had no amplifier and is quite weak. That one seems to have the 3.3V on the tip and audio output on the ring. So both wil not work without applying supply voltage and rewiring.
Hi, I’m not sure what additional circuitry these microphone have as they are specifically intended for use with BatScanner devices and have a different size connector.
AudioMoth is intended to work with standard electret condenser microphones such as the one below:
