Microphone is not recording

Hi there.

I have a problem. The device records at the right time, it creates the file, but no sound is recorded by it. Doesn't microphone work? Firmeware version: 1.2.0.

I'm hitting a similar issue with a hydromoth. We've been using it for in water measuermetns in the ba, but the recorings appear to have gone dead. Based on the above, I am guessing we are looking at needing to swap out the microphone. Could you point us in the direction of the microphone I'll need to put an orderin for?

Can you email andy@openacousticdevices.info and describe the issue with the HydroMoth. The microphones are quite sensitive to water damage so dry storage between deployments, preferably outside of the housings, is recommended.

Double check with the new firmware but this seems like a microphone issue if there is definitely no sound recorded. Where did this AudioMoth come from?

Hi Alex. I have just update the firmware and no sound is listened yet. So, I think the problem is microphone as you pointed.

Hi, This is quite an old version of the firmware. You can update to a newer version with the Flash App. Can you try making a recording of your voice counting to 10. It seems to have recorded okay and it sounds like normal background noise. Alex

Hi. I have recorded this file. When I put in a program to see the spectrogram no signal of sound is seen. About your question, I'm waiting for an answer of my coworker.
