Hi, I have several Audiomoths, and one of my 1.1.0 devices has an issue with low microphone gain despite a high gain setting. I do suspect there was some damage to the device, but I am checking to see if there is an approach to fixing or testing out the problem. These devices are deployed in rainforest and there is a lot of rain and storms. We always use the waterproof case that is sold with the moths (or separately). Any advice?

How can I prevent moisture from affecting my MEMS microphone? happy wheels
Hi,
This sounds like degradation of the microphone due to exposure to humidity. It's possible to replace the MEMS microphone if you have access to an electronics lab, but often isn't economically viable. Alex
