I've got three audiomoths and two of them are working great. The third one is having a problem that I didn't find while looking through the forums. After setting it up and putting into custom mode it has a solid red and blinking green lights even though I set the time and set it to not need the chime. If I play the chime a few times it will eventually go to just the green light flashing like it should. Once the time for recording comes, it goes back into a solid red and blinking green light. It will go into recording mode like it's supposed to only if I play the chime a few times. Once the recording is done it will go into the proper waiting mode with the green light flashing and no red light. When it's time to record again, it has one solid red and a blinking green light like before.
I've tried all of the solutions I was able to read that seemed like it might help. I used different batteries, a different SD card. I flashed the audiomoth. I configured it without the batteries. It has the same problem every time.
Thanks in advance for any help.
For some reason this one is losing the time due to suffering a reset when it tries to write to the SD card either on first switching to CUSTOM when it writes the CONFIG.TXT file or when it starts to write the recording. This could be caused by a particular bad SD card, very flat batteries, or a hardware problem on the device. The last one is pretty rare but could be caused by corrosion if the AudioMoth was previously working okay. Does the same occur if you power the AudioMoth from USB when you switch to CUSTOM after configuring?
