Hi All,
We just recovered 4 AudioMouths v1.2.0 that we deployed this spring and, upon review, only one of the devices recorded correctly; Another device had a single, 2sec audio clip dated 12/31/2097, and the remaining 2 devices only had the configuration files. I've listed the details below and the configuration files of all 4 units. Any idea as to why no audio was recorded?
We used the recommended SanDisk Extreme data cards and Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries in all of the units.
Thanks,
Christie
If possible can you also provide a screenshot of the SD card contents so that I can see the timestamps and the file names. I think the time may not have been set on the other devices so rather than start recording they were waiting for the acoustic chime to set the time (constant red LED and flashing green LED).
Hi Christie, Can you check the comments in the WAV header of the short file and the last file that was recorded. If the file is shorter than expected, the reason will always be described in the header comments.
The daily energy consumption of the configuration on Unit 5 is 65mAh so there 40 days of recording it managed is probably about right. The header comments should show that the battery was getting close to the limit in the last few recordings.
If you plug the devices in and run the Configuration App is the time changing at the correct rate? Do they record correctly now?
Alex
