I am in the "No Audiomoth fond" situation and cannot get through. This is what I face:
1. Batteries and SD on, switch USB/OFF, connect to PC and launch Audiomoth-Config
Audiomoth not recognized
No lights
2. Batteries and SD removed, switch USB/OFF, connect to PC and launch Audiomoth Flash App
Audiomoth not recognized
No lights
3. Batteries and SD removed, switch at DEFAULT, connect to PC and launch Audiomoth Flash App
LEDS flashing
Paperclip => LEDS stopped flashing
Paperclip removed
Next menu: No Audiomoth found
After ~10', LEDS flashing again
Anything else to try?
Hi Agustin, Can you describe a bit more of the context? Is this an AudioMoth that has previously worked and are you using a USB cable that has previously worked to communicate with the AudioMoth? Can you also confirm what operating system you are using? It seems strange that there is no green LED in USB/OFF but both LED are flashing in DEFAULT. Did this problem occur whilst trying to flash the AudioMoth with new firmware? You can always recover an AudioMoth by holding the paperclip on the connectors and then plugging in the USB cable (with no batteries installed). The aim is to power-up the AudioMoth so that it immediately finds the PROG terminals shorted together, and starts in bootloader mode. This is a bit fiddly, and getting another person helps, but this will definitely work to restore a working AudioMoth with a corrupted version of the firmware. If you check the USB devices in Device Manager you will see the AudioMoth appear as a serial device. The Flash App will then find the AudioMoth. For this bit to work, you need to be certain that the USB cable you are using allows communication with the AudioMoth. Do you have another AudioMoth that you can use to confirm this? Alex
