Hi, The functionality changed a little in 1.5.0 since the way DEFAULT previously worked was a bit confusing - obeying sleep / record cycle settings but ignoring schedule settings. In version 1.5.0 onwards, DEFAULT makes a continuous recording at the set gain and sample rate (or at the default values of medium gain and 48kHz if no setting has been made). The file will stop and restart if the length exceeds the WAV limit of 4.3GB. DEFAULT mode will work with or without setting the time.CUSTOM mode works are before. However, as configurations are now persistent, even if the batteries are removed, you can set a 24 hour schedule and the sleep / record cycle settings that you need. You can then use either the Time App or the smartphone app to just set the time prior to deployment. If you havenāt set the time prior to switching to CUSTOM the AudioMoth will go to acoustic mode (constant red some flashing green) whilst it waits for you to play the chime from the smartphone app).
We should probably sign post these changes more clearly. The user manual is on this page - https://www.openacousticdevices.info/getting-started - but we'll try to make it more prominent.
Ok, thank you for your reply. I should have read the doc.š
