Scheduled Works, but not Default

Sample rate is at 192khz. The models were Sandisk Extreme and Sandisk Endurance cards. Formatted as exFAT with allocation 128kb or 256kb. Other cards from the same batch seem to be working fine, they were all formatted together about a month ago. Batteries are also changed regularly.

It's a bit of a recurring issue though it's hard to tell what is causing it (definitely something with the SD card though). Sometimes they start working again just by switching SD cards between Audiomoths.

The 0B files mean an SD card write error occured during the writing of the file. With the most up-to-date firmware, the AudioMoth will initially write a header and then immediately update the file allocation table so you should see 488B files with a valid header reporting an SD card error. If you are getting 0B files with the up to date firmware it means that the SD card write error is occuring immediately. I think the most likely cause is that some of the cards exhibit higher write currents than other cards. We had a report previously of SanDisk Extreme cards that were made in Taiwan exhibited much higher energy consumption than other cards. If you can isolate it to a single card we can measure the energy consumption.
