Hello. I have concerns when downsampling AudioMoth WAV files from 250 kHz to 48 kHz. The processing is very simple and quick for some files and folders, but for others, I cannot execute the process because the files are not recognised.
In brief, the configuration App does not recognise many of my AudioMoth or HydroMoth files and folders. After selecting them it says "No Audiomoth WAV selected".
Any help would be very welcome! thank you
Lydia
Hi Alex, I have moved some files and folders to the desktop and other hard disks but the problem persists. For some folders/files, the App does not recognise the recorded audios. I have also checked the properties of these audios, and they are the same as the downsampled ones.
I do not understand.
I have also changed the names but it does not work either.
For your information, my computer has Windows 10, and the recording devices are various 1.2.0 AudioMoth & 1.0.0 HydroMoth and the Firmware-Basic used is 1.11.0.
Next week I will try it with another computer.
Many thanks for your help,
Lydia
Many thanks for the replay Alex. Regarding the firmware version, I'm using the latest one (1.11.01).
I have been able to 'Summarise AudioMoth Files' without problems for ALL the folders. It recognises all the files and the CSV looks great.
On the contrary, I haven't been able to downsampling AudioMoth WAV files from 250 kHz to 48 kHz for around half of the folders. I don't get why downsampling is not working on those folders and why files are not recognised. After selecting the files (or the folder) via the configuration App it says "No AudioMoth files selected".
I can confirm these audio files contain good recordings.
What can I try? Any suggestion?
Many thanks,
Lydia
Hi Lydia, Are you using the most up to date version of the Config App? Can you use the 'Summarise AudioMoth Files' option under the 'Process' menu to show which files cannot be downsampled. The most up to date version of the Config App should be able to downsample files from any version of the AudioMoth firmware, but older versions may not be able to downsample files from newer versions of the firmware (due the addition of the GUANO metadata field).
