White noise?

I'm currently testing 3 AudioMoths in preperation for some bat fieldwork this summer. Thanks to this forum I've now got two working well, despite the usual small amount of noise from the SD card writing. However, the third unit doesn't seem to record anything but white noise (see secreenshot from Kaleidoscope below). It's been configured with the same settings as the other two for all tests, but this is always the result! Any suggestions?

The screenshot was produced by rubbing my fingers in front of the microphone, but I'll give speaking a try! They're all 1.0.0.

@s_per93 It‘s really easy to detect skipping and distortion if you record continuous counting for about 10 seconds. Sometimes an apparent failed microphone is down to water damage either to the microphone itself or general corrosion somewhere else on the board. The later devices use tented vias (the solder mask flows over the through board connectors) which gives a bit more protection.

It looks like the microphone has failed. Trying recording your voice at normal speaking volume across the two devices. What model of AudioMoth is this?
