Hi! I got some audiomoths, I updated the firmware (update to 1.8.1) of some of them a few days ago as I was going to run some tests and everything was fine, however, today I tried to do the same with the rest I have but it showed a warning saying that it failed and that I made sure the audiomoth was in USB mode (which it was) after that the green LED that shows up when you connect the audiomoth stop lighting up when conected to the computer and it stopped being recognise by the apps. I tried changing the batteries, the USB cable, everything but it doesn't work. The worst part is that now even if I put it in default mode the LEDs don't light up so I'm afraid it doesn't work anymore. Could someone help me out?

Hi, In the Flash App, there is an option under the menu to 'Show Manual Switch Instructions'. This will tell you how to manually switch the AudioMoth into bootloader mode, and will then allow you to reflash it. It's a bit fiddly, and involves removing batteries, holding a paperclip on the connections on the PCB, and then plugging in the USB. The aim is for it to power-up and immediately find the two pins connected together. This will always recover an AudioMoth so keep trying if it doesn't seem to work the first time. Alex
