Hi,
I trying to flash firmware for AudioMoth following instructions in AudioMoth Manual.pdf but I have some problems.
When a try flash the firmware in the audiomoth whit the “flash app” no audiomoth is found.
When I run the flash executable by typing in the command window “flash. exe”, only one port (COM3) appear.
When I attach the audiomoth in my computer via USB, the LED’s not flashing.
When I I run the flash executable by typing in the command window “flash. exe”, now with the audiomoth connected only one port (COM3) appear.
Is not the cable, because is working with others audiomoth.
Any suggestion for this error, can you help me please.

That's strange. Are you sure the batteries are good and are the right way round?
The Time App, Flash App and Config App will potentially get confused if more than one are open at the same time as they are all talking to the same USB device. I don't think that is the issue here but just in case, make sure that you only have one of the apps open at a time.
I got through the audiomoth in flash mode and install the firmware, but a strange thing is happened.
The audiomoth with batteries in mode USB (but not connected to the laptop), the green leds are on continuously .
When I put the batteries in the audiomonth to configure then by the Configuration APP, my Laptop don´t recognizing the audiomoth.
But if I connect the audiomoth to the pc whithout baterry, recognize it and I can configure audiomoth.
Can you try the manual approach to putting the device into flash mode on one of the other devices. It's a bit fiddly - without batteries, you need to plug in the USB whilst the paper clip is held on the contacts. That will always recover a device back into flash mode. Practice on one that you know is working correctly, so that you are confident that this process works, and then it try on the one that is causing problems.
Yes, I tried it in others four other audiomoth and the process worked perfectly
Do you have another AudioMoth that you can run through the same process with to confirm that there isn't something else that is wrong?
it don´t connect :-(
When going into flash mode from power-off it won't matter what position the switch is in, but if you put it into USB/OFF it will then connect properly once you have successfully re-flashed it.
In USB / out or Custom mode?
Try holding the paper clip on the contacts and then plugging in the USB cable making sure that the battery is removed so that the device powers up and finds the contacts shorted together. It should then appear as a USB CDC serial device in the Device Manager.
Hi Alex,
Yes I flashed other AudioMoth with this cable, but not on other computers.
When I connect others AudioMoth in my laptop in the Device Manager I can see the connected the device.
But whem I conect this aidiomoth (I have another one whith the same problem) I can't see them in the Device Manager.

Have you successfully flashed other AudioMoth with this cable and computer?
Try the instructions under the 'Show Manual Switch Instructions'. If the LED aren't flashing, it will lead you through the process to hold the paper clip on the contacts whilst the power is applied via the USB cable, which should start the AudioMoth up in flash mode.
