Hi
Using the flash application I downloaded firmware 1.4 to upgrade from 1.3.
Progress bar goes to a 'firmware successfully installed' but then the AudioMoth is not recognized anymore by any of the apps (flash, time and config).
The procedure with the paperclip to go again to flash mode worked so I could triy several times, including with a newly downloaded .bin
Had to revert to firmware 1.3 and then I could configure as usual.
Could I have missed anything in the manipulations ?

Well... nice to know.
What could I do then to make that working, I don't know.
The default Windows 7 drivers do in fact work fine with the WebUSB device.
Thank you. Not a priority for the moment... even if I'd be very pleased to benefit from the improvements.
I'll have to set up a Windows 7 machine to try it out. It should be working fine with Windows 8+, Linux or macOS.
There was a "CDC Abstract Control Model" in error but it disppeared after checking for new devices.
Is that related to AudioMoth communication ? Looks more like a Samsung related bit.
Well... I don't see any AudioMoth driver listed under the USB bus controllers. Either with or without an AudioMoth connected.
Maybe has it another name ?
Maybe I'm not looking at the right place ?
Time and Config apps see it when connected though.
Can you check in Device Manager to see if the AudioMoth is listed as a USB device. I suspect it has a broken driver.
Ah. In version 1.4.0 we introduced support for WebUSB to enable configuration directly from Chrome browser. It looks like this might be the problem with Windows 7. The update is working correctly but Windows isn't using the correct WebUSB drivers.
When the flash process finishes does it report that it can see the device with version 1.4.0 installed? Do you have batteries in the AudioMoth?
Hi Alex I'm using Win 7 Pro. To allow downloading the .bin again I just renamed the existing one in the Download folder.
I just installed the Flash App v1.0.2 and I can't see any difference:
AudioMoth is seen as 1.3, flashing 1.4 seems to go fine (progress bar, restarting AudioMoth, success message) but then AudioMoth is not seen.
Reverted again to firmware 1.3, reconfigured and all seems to be correct.

Hi, Can you confirm what operating system you are using. When you say 'with a newly downloaded .bin' - are you downloading it manually or using the 'Use Standard Release' page? Alex
