Green and Red light flashing - Short recordings

Greetings,

I am using the AudioMoth 1.2.0. Today I updated the firmware to 1.8.2.

I have two AudioMoths which are being set in the exact same way. 3595 seconds of recording - 5 seconds sleep.

While the one AudioMoth succesfully saves the 1-hour segments, the second AudioMoth is having issues.

Specifically, the device is cutting the recordings into varied durations of some seconds. I tried to change batteries, to change SD cards, to update the firmware but without success.

The green and red lights are flashing together, prompting to recording failures.

Any idea on this issue?

Hi Antonis,

The AudioMoth will normally write the reason for a short file into the WAV file header. Can you open one in AudioMoth Play and check the 'Show file information' - https://play.openacousticdevices.info Can you also share the CONFIG.TXT file if you have one so we can see the configuration that was used? This sounds like an issue with the SD card. Can you confirm which make and model SD card is being used?

Glad you solved the problem. The updated version of the Config App allows you to summarise the contents of the SD card which shows the battery voltage and the WAV header comments.
